Alice’s Astrology & Beyond September,  2007 An Enlightening Weave of Astrology, Feng Shui & Spirituality The longer term planetary positions for 2007  is the backdrop of themes upon which the monthly planetary energies offer a further focus.  SEPTEMBER’S ASTROLOGICAL THEMES: Feeling like it’s time to revisit those relationship issues and decide once and for all what you are going to do about them.   Having thoughts about getting serious about your health and diet once and for all.    Really looking at that which has been holding you back, and taking responsibility for your actions or lack there of. On the first week of this month Pluto (the planet of power and transformation) goes “direct” and Venus (the planet of love, passion and values) goes “direct”. That simply means that while they have appeared to be moving backwards (retrograde) now they are back in the swing of things and that in your life pertaining to their particular planetary energy is now ready to be placed back on your plate of life, decisions and experience to be looked at. ON REVISITING THOSE RELATIONSHIP ISSUES: Venus moving direct offers us the opportunity look at that in relationships that may not be the most valuable for us. It may be a friend that you have lunch with more than you want to because he or she needs you but it is more and more feeling like a drag, or maybe it is that all of the extra energy you have been putting in to keep a relationship going isn’t paying back, or maybe your spouse is just not able to offer you what you truly need but you have been putting up with it because you haven’t wanted to speak up. No matter what it is, it has to do with your balance or unbalance of energies between you and another. If you have been denying yourself to please another, this is a great month to be truthful about it to yourself first and then find a way to ease into a new role that will serve you much better. ON GETTING SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR HEALTH: Once every two and a half years, Saturn, the planet of structure, boundaries, base and discipline moves into a new sign. Well, on the 2nd, he moves into the sign of Virgo, known well for its affinity with all that has to do with health. Whether it’s what you eat, or what you do or what you are not doing for your physical body. Never will it be easier to embark on a new way of structuring your life. This energy will help you come from the right perspective which is from the health perspective vs. the “how I look” perspective. If you have been thinking of eating healthier, exercising more, or even just getting more fresh air during the course of a day, this is an excellent energy to motivate you. ON LOOKING AT THAT WHICH HAS BEEN HOLDING YOU BACK: Most of us will look at our lives and feel that we wish we were further along that we actually are. Whether it is in our relationships, job or our health. So many times it seems easier to blame our schedule, the kid’s after school activities, or commitments that have taken us away from that which we want. This month, take a good look at your excuses. Is there something that you know you want to be doing but aren’t because your are trying to hold up to obligations and other’s schedules? When you do not do what you want to do because you “feel bad” if you say no to others, realized that you are only betraying yourself. With Pluto going direct, this is an excellent time to bring forth your inner-power. Weaving Feng Shui into Astrology Feng Shui is the intentional positioning and conscious aligning of all aspects of your environment to create the most supporting energetic surroundings possible so that you thrive while being there. By understanding the Astrological energies of the month, we are able to naturally find a further focus on particular areas of the home or specific things you can do within your home to enhance and fully utilize the energies around you. The Astrological energies this month would find their maximum positive expression in a focus on balance in your home, cleanliness in your kitchen and enhancing the Wisdom area. FENG SHUI SUGGESTIONS FOR SEPTEMBER: Place new objects in pairs representing balance in your bedroom. It could be matching candles, matching pictures, two similar crystals, two plants, two images that come in a set, or anything at all that speaks of “pairs” and “balance”. In this way, by intentionally placing these things in your environment, you will be offering a way to energetically support your decisions and those things in your life where balance is becoming not just desired but necessary. Clear out your refrigerator and your cupboards. Donate that which you do not want to eat anymore or that which you don’t want to be a part of your upcoming path. With Saturn moving into Virgo, and the desire to have a better lifestyle, help make it easier for yourself by setting up the environment where you nurture yourself to be one that is truly nurturing.   Enhance the “Wisdom area of your home. To find this, stand at the entrance of your home and face inwards. The far left, bottom third corner of the home is known as the knowledge wisdom area.  Clear out and donate books and items that are outdated. Bring in things that promote clarity in your life such as glass, crystal and even water. Just make sure that you keep the water fresh and clean. It can have a fish it or it can even be a gentle flowing fountain. By doing one or all of the above, you’ll be utilizing the astrological energies to work with you to maximize all that is going on in your life by placing and doing things to our support system around us, our very own homes and environment.
