Recently, many people have asked me why I feel Carl Rove really left the White House. There are plenty of reasons being passed around including the Democrat’s version attributing his departure to
1) being pressured to testify over the dismissal of federal prosecutors,
2) his participating in warrant-less wiretapping,
3) his failed policy on the revamping of Social Security, and
4) his absolute failure with the Immigration Bill.
However, I do not believe that any of these reasons are ultimately responsible for Mr. Rove leaving Washington. I think the real reason for his resignation is that the Vice President won the argument of whether or not we should attack Iran.
When Mr. Rove realized that the Vice President and his cronies had outflanked Secretaries Gates and Rice, he saw the handwriting on the wall. There were no campaigns (he could support) left for him to run, and being outmaneuvered, he had no choice but to leave.
So, if this is true, all we have to do now is watch the right-wing media begin to help build a case around how many Americans are being killed by secret unit of the Iranian Army in Iraq, Iranian constructed roadside bombs, and the Iranian nuclear threat. If I am correct in my estimations, we can start watching and listening for the propaganda machine to crank up.
September, October and November will tell the tale. Just pay attention…and as all this commences, I do hope that someone will ask Mr. Rove about the decisions made by the President and Vice President regarding Iran. Since he and Mr. Cheney never saw eye to eye, maybe Mr. Rove will finally come clean!
I surely do not want to sound like a broken record, but we are collectively allowing our great nation to be destroyed right before our very eyes. We have only three months left in 110th Congress, we must make our voices heard.
You
know, I have been dead so many times that I tend to view
life from a slightly different perspective than most people.
Some things that outwardly appear to be serious are not, in
my opinion. While other things that do not appear serious,
really are to me. The saying "That ain't nothin'"
became one of my catch phrases after a man pulled a knife on
a friend and me one night, years ago. The knife terrified my
friend. But after all I have been through in my life, a
little pocket knife wasn't worrying me. I looked at the guy,
looked at the knife, and started to laugh. As I disarmed the
situation, I said to my friend, "Ah, that ain't nothin'!"
The story stuck and the legend grew. So, this monthly column
will be all about my unique viewpoint of current events,
world affairs, spirituality, politics, science, medicine and
life in general. Of course, it will all depend on what kind
of mood I happen to be in!
